From Sugarcane to Sugar

The Jeanerette Bicentennial Park and Museum is a sampling of life along the winding banks of Bayou Teche. The museum, built in 1902, is made from the cypress wood that was once a major industry in Jeanerette.

Step into the past and learn about the last 200 years of the sugarcane industry, the cypress lumber industry and the days of the steamboat.

TOURS

The Museum is now open on a limited basis Thursday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The last tour begins at 3 p.m. Iberia Recreation may change operation hours and days without notice. Please call ahead for information.

Admission is $3 adults, $1 for students (under 12).

Group Tours are Welcome. Special tours are also available after hours.  Please call to schedule.

Free Parking including RV and Campers.
